What to Expect

Warm Welcome

We know the first visit can feel like a big step. Here’s what you can expect to help you feel comfortable and welcomed:

When You Arrive

  • Our greeters will welcome you warmly at the entrance
  • Feel free to ask any questions – everyone here was new once!
  • We’ll show you where everything is and introduce you to others
  • No pressure to participate if you prefer to observe

During Services

  • Prayer books and tallit are available if you choose
  • Follow along at your own pace – there’s no ‘wrong way’. We have optional transliterated prayer books to follow as an option
  • Services combine Hebrew and English
  • Rabbi often explains what’s happening throughout services
  • Congregation is welcoming to all backgrounds and knowledge levels

What To Wear

We believe in ‘come as you are’ – your presence matters more than your outfit.

General Guidelines

  • Business casual to dressy casual is most common
  • Some dress up more for High Holidays
  • Modest clothing is appreciated but not strictly enforced
  • Comfort is key – you’ll be sitting and standing
